Envision Science Academy is governed by a non-profit board of directors comprised of dedicated individuals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets. The strategic recruitment of the board members is critically important as each person brings his/her own personal and professional experiences, expertise, perspectives and contacts. Envision's board reflects the diversity of the communities served which strengthens our position to execute the school's mission and confidently face opportunities and challenges. Ryan Cotterman, President
Mr. Cotterman became a member of the Envision Science Academy Board of Directors in December 2015. He served as the Treasurer of the Board through fiscal year 2019. Commencing July 2019, he was elected to serve as President of the Board. Mr. Cotterman is currently serving as the Sr. Director, Assistant Controller for Advance Auto Parts, Inc., a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider that serves both professional installer and do-it-yourself customers, and has been with the company since November 2017. Mr. Cotterman has over 17 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, financial reporting and auditing as a result of his current position with Advance Auto Parts, Inc. and previous senior manager position with Ernst & Young, LLP, a public accounting firm.
Mr. Cotterman has had extensive financial, corporate management and governance experience, which assists the Board in maintaining the financial health of the Envision Science Academy and in implementing future strategic initiatives. Additionally, his experience on the Board and with the school aids in ensuring that the mission and vision of Envision Science Academy are being executed.
Mr. Cotterman also participates in several community service organizations and serves as a board member for Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina.

Roland Lewis Jr., Vice-President
Mr. Lewis is one of the founding board members of Envision Science Academy. He is serving his second term as the Vice President of the Board. He brings to the Board his experience in development, grant writing and fundraising in the educational field. Mr. Lewis is also instrumental in planning and executing campus improvement projects at Envision Science Academy.
Mr. Lewis is the Founder & Managing Partner of Zenith Automotive Solutions, a luxury automotive brokerage, transportation, and consulting services firm. With more than 25 years of experience in the engineering, automotive and non-profit industries, he has served as director of corporate affairs, development director, business consultant, sales and marketing manager, and finance manager.
Presently, Mr. Lewis serves as an advisory board member of the Holt Brothers Foundation. In addition, he supports numerous local charities, such as American Red Cross, Junior Achievement and Big Brothers Big Sisters, and logs over 100 volunteer hours each year.

Ms. Morris became a member of the Envision Science Academy Board of Directors in September 2019. She serves as the Treasurer of the board and is responsible for governing the financial health and condition of the school, as well as ensuring that the school is in compliance with all financial regulations.
Ms. Morris is currently serving as the Assistant Controller at Victra, the leading premium exclusive retailer for Verizon, and has been with the company since February 2020. Ms. Morris has over ten years of progressive accounting, auditing, and finance experience from her current role with Victra and previous positions as the Financial Reporting Comptroller at PowerSecure, a subsidiary of Southern Company and a provider of innovative energy solutions to electric utilities and their industrial, institutional, and commercial customers, and senior auditor at Ernst & Young, LLP, a “big four” public accounting firm. This experience helps the Board maintain financial health of the school and ensure the mission and vision of Envision Science Academy are fulfilled.

Holly Miller, Secretary
Ms. Miller has been a member of the Envision Science Academy Board of Directors since February 2016 and was recently appointed to the position of Secretary. Ms. Miller is a professional engineer and has over 19 years of experience in civil engineering. In August 2020, Ms. Miller joined Tetra Tech, a leading, global provider of consulting and engineering services with over 450 offices worldwide. Tetra Tech is differentiated by Leading with Science® by providing innovative technical solutions to clients. Tetra Tech supports global commercial and government clients focused on water, environment, sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy, and international development. With more than 20,000 associates worldwide, Tetra Tech provides clear solutions to complex problems. Ms. Miller is a Senior Planner in Water Resources and oversees a team of engineers, professional hydrologists, emergency managers, and environmental engineers/scientists who design and analyze hydraulics and hydrology for stormwater, floodplains, wastewater treatment plants and systems, stream restorations, and wetlands for local municipalities, counties and states across the State of North Carolina and across the country.
Prior to joining Tetra Tech, Ms. Miller was an Assistant Engineer with the Town of Wake Forest, overseeing stream restoration, grant writing, floodplain development/regulation, environmental education, plan review, environmental permitting and construction management.
Ms. Miller utilizes her technical background to assist the Board with contract review, alternative funding source identification and technical writing. Ms. Miller is versed in grant writing, environmental education and roadway/trail project management and construction.
Ms. Miller is active in water quality monitoring, citizen science, and monthly stream/greenway cleanups.
Diego Torres

Mr. Torres became a member of the Envision Science Academy Board of Directors in October 2012 and is one of the founding members of the school. He serves as the Secretary for the Board and the Chairman of the Governance Committee and is responsible for the initial review of all contracts and potential legal questions presented to the Board of Directors.
Mr. Torres is currently Senior Manager of Connected Contracts for Cisco Systems, Inc., a leading IT company that designs, manufactures, and sells Internet Protocol based networking and other products related to the communications and information technology industry worldwide, and has been with the company since August 2017. Mr. Torres has over 15 years of progressive experience in contract negotiations, contract drafting, and legal research, as a result of his current position with Cisco Systems, Inc. and previous senior manager position with BB&T and IBM.
Mr. Torres has had extensive legal, corporate management and governance, and contract negotiations experience, which assists the Board in mitigating exposure to financial, reputational, and legal risk, while helping to ensure the school operates and makes decisions that comply with federal, state, and local laws applicable to a public charter school.

Ms. Cutno co-founded Envision Science Academy in December 2012. She served as the President of the Board since its inception through fiscal year 2019. Ms. Cutno still serves as a board member for Envision Science Academy.
Currently, Ms. Cutno is Vice President for the Education Finance Group at Truist Securities, where she focuses on business development and provides bond financing solutions to charter schools for their facility needs.
Ms. Cutno has over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, business management, corporate finance and consulting across various industries. She is active with several community non-profit organizations. Ms. Cutno serves as the Vice Chair of the NC Association for Public Charter Schools and a board member of Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina.

Mrs. Mallory became a member of the Envision Science Academy Board of Directors in June of 2019. Mrs. Mallory became Chair for the Envision Business Advisory Committee in January of 2021. Mrs. Mallory has been Director, Business Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific for the past 6 years. She has held other commercial roles within Thermo Fisher Scientific over the past 17 years. Thermo Fisher Scientific is the world leader in serving science, with revenues of more than $30 billion and approximately 130,000 employees globally. Mrs. Mallory has over 25 years of experience with a history of increasing revenues, profitability, productivity and overall customer satisfaction in the Biopharmaceutical industry.
Mrs. Mallory is actively involved in community outreach through the African Heritage Employee Resource Group as the Global Lead for community outreach at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Her years of experience working with Envision Science Academy to provide STEM support and resources has led to her increased participation to serve on the Board of Directors. Mrs. Mallory serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at Bethany Christian Church in Wake Forest. Mrs. Mallory serves as the Chair for the Envision Business Advisory Committee. Mrs. Mallory is the mother of 4 young adult children and has been married to Jimmy Mallory, an elementary educator in the Wake County Public School System for over 27 years.
