Safety Patrol
ESA's Safety Patrol squad is made up of eager-to-assist, conscientious 5th graders. They are split into morning and afternoon squads. The morning squad greets students and holds the doors open during arrival. They also put up the American flag and help any students that need assistance with carrying large projects or who are on crutches. The morning squad leads the lower school in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, SOAR statement and general morning announcements. The afternoon squad retrieves the daily USPS mail, takes down the American flag, holds the door open for dismissed students, monitors the hallways and sidewalks for safety and assists staff and other students where needed. Details on how to apply to become a Safety Patrol member for the 2022-2023 school year will be discussed during 4th grade homeroom periods at the end of May.
